A Kiama man has expressed his relief after being acquitted of conspiring to murder Dusan Krstic in 2007.

Radomir Vukovic released a statement via his solicitor, Gerard Mitchell on Monday, after he and his three co-accused were found not guilty by a NSW Supreme Court jury on Friday.

"The proceedings have obviously weighed heavily on Mr Vukovic and his family, and he is extremely relieved to have been acquitted of a charge to which he has, from the outset, protested his innocence," solicitor Gerard Mitchell said.

"He spent 10 months in jail for an offence that he didn't commit, but he is grateful that his faith in the judicial process was justified, and he is eager to move on with his life and put this unfortunate chapter behind him."

Mr Vukovic, Zlatan Popovic, Tavi Koloamatangi and Colin Ray Rice were found not guilty of one count each of conspiring to kill Mr Krstic, following a three-week trial before Justice Geoffrey Bellew.

Jurors deliberated for little over a day before delivering not guilty verdicts on Friday afternoon.

The men were charged in 2012, after an informant made a series of induced statements detailing an alleged plot to murder Mr Krstic in Sydney.
